During his post-PhD specialization, he extensively worked on issues of Clinical Chemistry, Laboratory Quality Control, Neurochemistry and Reproduction Biology (In vitro fertilization – Sperm Examination and Cryopreservation). He is one of the first laboratory scientist in Clinical Embryology to apply the method of in vitro fertilization in Greece. In 1996 he founded the SPERMATOLOGY LABORATORY, of which he is the manager and scientific director until today. He is a member of international and Greek scientific associations (Alpha, Hellenic Andrology Association, Hellenic Association of Clinical Embryologists) and has participated in numerous conferences and scientific meetings as a speaker. In cooperation with the Hellenic Andrology Association, he has participated in training programs addressed to Greek and international clinical scientists regarding the assessment of male sperm. His work as an author includes numerous articles in scientific magazines as well as the book “THE FUNCTION OF MALE SPERM” published by“BHTA medical arts”.

Mrs Fotoula Voudouri is a Medical Laboratory Expert, graduate of the Athens University of Applied Sciences.
During her undergraduate training, she acquired knowledge and experience in issues of several laboratory departments operation (Microbiology-Virology-Mycology, Biochemichal -Hormonological, Hematological, Blood Donation-Sampling, Immunology and Pathology Laboratory). At the same time, she was trained as an observer at the Spermatology Laboratory in conventional and specialized analyzes, in male sperm processing and cryopreservation techniques.
Since 2005, she has been a member of our Laboratory, with responsibilities covering the whole range of operational processes. She participates in the Laboratory’s internal quality control program and attends post-training programs of scientific education and capacity building on an annual basis. She is certified by ESHRE for the performance of Basic Semen Analysis.
